Description (ca. 1921): Built by Kate Gleason (Catie Gleason) starting in 1919, the Concrest Development contained townhouses, single family homes, and duplexes. Many of the homes were two stories and had attached laundry rooms and garages. Gleason designed this development to satisfy the needs of lower class families, as no unit cost more than $4,000.
