Description (ca. 1921): The Sahlen Hot dog was created in Buffalo, NY and is a rival to the Zweigle's hot dog of Rochester. These would be consumed by any class, as they are cheap and easy to prepare. The Sahlen company was founded in 1969 and specialized in not only hot dogs, but varieties of meat processing, including beef, ham, and turkey products.
