Background (family, education, important life events)

Leonardo Gatsby was born in New York City, New York on January 1st of 1897. He was born into the famously rich Gatsby family who was a well known up and coming family of the time. He was born to Jay and Daisy Gatsby who were loving and kind parents who raised their son Leo to be a hard working young man. Jay and Daisy were both big philanthropists and donated heavily to different public works in the state of New York. They taught their son not only how to be a good businessman but also how to wisely use his money once he earned it. However, the good times were not to last.

On the day Leonardo Gatsby graduated from college his parents were killed in a mysterious freak car accident. It was early in the morning when their car was found wrecked off the side of a street along the waterfront in New York City. It is still not known what they were doing out on the waterfront that day, their last contact being with their son the night before saying over a phone call they would meet up with Leonardo later that day at the graduation ceremony. Shortly after their death a series of seemingly random allegations involving tax fraud were leveled against what was left of the Gatsby estate Leonardo had inherited that left him close to bankruptcy. The whole ordeal left Leonardo feeling devastated and lost as he saw his families fortune and good name crumble around him. It was at this time that an old friend of Leonardo's father William Tenerly stepped in to help Leonardo out. At this point almost all of the Gatsby estate had been lost paying out to the IRS so Tenerly offered Leonardo a job working in one of his factories producing photographic equipment. Feeling lost and having no where else to go Leonardo accepted the offer.

Current Biography (ca. 1921):

Leonardo and Tenerly were both surprised and happy when Leo was quick to show promise in factory management and has now been taken under William Tenerly's direct care and instruction. Unbeknownst to Leonardo, Tenerly has decided to groom Leo for a high place in the company. Leo is currently working hard trying to work his way up in the Tenerly company eager to reacquire his family's fortune and good name. He does, however, have his faults. While a great worker and very professional Leonardo does not have much of a social life. If he hopes to move up further in the Tenerly company he will soon need to learn how to properly socialize with his superiors in more than just at the work place.
