Description (ca. 1921):
Construction on the Kodak Tower began in 1912, and with its completion in 1914 it became the tallest building in Rochester—a high rise with 16 stories. It is the Kodak headquarters. The building itself was constructed as a steel structure with terra cotta facing in a French Renaissance style. Designed by Cutler, Gordon, and Kaelber architects, the building lies on the corner of State Street and Brown Street.

The Kodak company allowed the progression of photography to allow everyday people to take pictures of everyday life.
