Biography (ca. 1921):
Born in 1890 to the Millard family, Gavin was an only child. Without having any siblings to take the blame for his trouble making, Gavin quickly would develop a talent for spinning lies to escape punishment. From a young age, his parents pushed Gavin to follow law, feeling that the young boy had a lot of potential despite his lower-middle class upbringing.

Gavin would enroll into the University of Rochester’s law program. He focused on everything but his work for a while, almost failing out of the program. However, after developing a friendly rivalry with Joseph Greene, Gavin challenged himself and worked his way up to becoming second ranked in the class.

Upon graduation, Gavin would go into starting a law firm with Joseph called Millard and Greene. While the two would bump heads occasionally, they found much success. The relationship between Gavin and Joseph would be strained when Joseph got them to work with George “Boss” Aldridge. Following the case with Aldridge, Joseph would leave the firm and volunteer to join the army. Gavin would avoid going to war due to contracting pneumonia.

In the years to follow, Gavin would not find the same financial successes as a lawyer as when he worked with Joseph. He would find moral success through his ability to choose cases that allowed him to do the most good.
