Biography (ca. 1921):
Earl F. Beers was a Rochester aviation pioneer and an activist. He played a strong role in creating the Rochester municipal airport system. In 1919, he piloted the first passenger flight from Britton Field. Furthermore, he soon after convinced the local government to purchase the field in order to start a municipal airport. He continued to personally offer flights for $1.00 per mile.
