Description (ca. 1921): Infant and child mortality was extremely high during the 1920's. There was a 1 in 4 chance that a mother would attend her child's funeral. Besides the horrible conditions that were going on, a big cause of these deaths was the milk bottle. There were hardly any regulations, the milk and the bottles would cause diseases such as tuberculous, whooping cough, measles, and more. This led to some regulations being made, but the desire for cheap milk was greater than the expense of getting healthy milk. Cause of many deaths.
